Just two weeks remain before Bear Scare — Madrona’s biggest party of the year — and we still have more than 130 volunteer positions to fill! Including costumes, games, pizza, music, prizes, a Haunted House, a Pumpkin-Carving Contest, cookie decorating, candy crafts, tattoos, a photo booth and more — plus incredible decorations that transform our school just in time for Halloween — Bear Scare is the one party that EVERYONE puts on their calendar each year. And, as the first Bear Scare in our new school, this year’s will be one of the most exciting yet!
In fact, this party is SOOOOOO big, that even with dozens of incredible volunteers already signed up to help out at Bear Scare, we still have a lot of areas of the event in need. Current areas of need include helping to serve pizza in the cafeteria, overseeing the Cupcake Walk (always a favorite!), helping to run some of Bear Scare’s incredible games (all-new for 2019: ALIEN AUTOPSY!), helping pre-sell tickets and, of course, setup and clean-up.
Can’t help on-site? No problem! You can also contribute to the Bear Scare effort by donating cupcakes to the Cupcake Walk or sugar cookies to the Cookie-Decorating station, contributing fun prizes for kids to take home or donating supplies like plates, napkins, cups and other goodies.
