Hi Madrona Families,
I hope your children are happy to be back in class this week. Let’s work together to keep our students inside the classroom. Talk with your student about the expectations at school that help keep them safe. When they are home, please encourage them to keep up the safe practices: proper mask wearing, careful handwashing, and physical distancing. We encourage you to respect the assigned classroom cohorts as much as possible outside of school by limiting gatherings. The schoolhouse has updated its procedures to keep our students safer. Let’s support them by doing what we can to keep our children safer at home.
Parking Lot
Please stop parking in the disabled parking spots if you don’t have a placard. If you have a special situation, please speak with the office staff for support.
Slow down when driving through the lot. Your kids go to school here. Your friends’ kids go to school here. We are already the school that got shut down because of Covid. We don’t want to be the school that has a kid (or adult for that matter) who gets hit by a car in the parking lot.
Be nice to the people who are working in the parking lot. Our teachers and paras are putting 100% of their energy into keeping our kids safe during school hours. They have also been asked to keep them safe during drop-off and pick-up. Be respectful and don’t roll your eyes at them or say mean things. We have a few parent volunteers out there helping as well. They are helping with good intentions. Treat them with respect as well.
Conference Week Treats
