The goals for Move 60 are to get students active and exercising 60 minutes per day, with the intention to fight childhood obesity, improve overall student health and well-being, and for students to enjoy the physical, social, and emotional benefits of exercise and activity. Move 60 is purposely designed to help students experience exercise and activity in a fun and engaging way, in order to instill positive associations with exercise that ultimately leads to healthy movement habits for lifelong health.
Madrona Miles participants earn a token for every lap they complete around the track. They scan their card after each lap to track their progress. In 2025, Madrona Miles happens before school on Mondays and Thursdays. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to come walk or run with their students!
