Our all-new school means an exciting new look for Bear Scare in 2019 — but with the games, activities and traditions you’ve come to love, it will still take the whole Madrona community to make this fun transition a success!
Madrona’s big Halloween party, Bear Scare, returns Friday, Oct. 25, from 6-8 p.m. All of your Bear Scare favorites are back — including the Pumpkin Carving Contest (with divisions for different grade levels), Haunted House, Trick-or-Treat Street, cupcake walk, cookie decorating, costumes and more — while new games and activities are being added to make the night even more fun for all ages! Plus, all-new decorations and a brand-new layout are sure to make this year’s Bear Scare one of the most memorable yet!
Planning is under way, but we can’t put on this event without YOU. Each year, Bear Scare requires more than 100 volunteers to help during the event, as well as with pre-event organization, donations and ticket sales, set-up, clean-up and more. There is something that each and every one of you can contribute; whether it’s a half-hour to help staff a table during the event (honestly, it beats just standing around trying to keep track of your kids!), donations of goodies in the weeks before, or any of a number of other ways to help.
